Creekside Elementary Safe Routes to School

NUSoBo will begin work on a Safe Routes to School grant application with the Creekside Parent Organization for the benefit of students who commute to Creekside Elementary on foot or by bike. We have examined Vision Zero study data from 2022 and will consult with the parent community at Creekside to identify areas where current transportation infrastructure is failing children and their families. We will then work with the District and the City to develop an application to hopefully be submitted in 2027. In the interim, we hope to work with both the City and District to implement a “School Street” on Martin and Dartmouth as a pilot of an approach that could be used with other schools in the District.
